An interesting story broke yesterday in Milan involving Inter's own star striker Mauro Icardi. Apparently, the Inter captain has fired his agent of ten years and has hired his wife, Wanda Nara, to be his representative for the time being.

Icardi's now ex-agent, Abian Moreno, informed Argentine news outlets that his contract with Icardi had not been renewed, and confessed he was "hurt" by the player's decision to fire him to Radio Uno, a Buenos Aires-based FM station.

It is worth noting here that neither Icardi nor his wife have confirmed this news. This report comes courtesy of 101 Great Goals and The Daily Mail.

Now, if this is true, it would appear to be concerning on its face. After all, wouldn't a hotshot striker playing in a major European football league want an experienced agent handling his affairs? Well, yes. Definitely. No question about it.

However, agents of that caliber also have to be absolutely ruthless in order to look out for the players they represent. Based on what we know about Wanda Nara so far, she could probably hold her own in a room full of baller-status footballer agents. Time will tell how this unfolds.
