According to Sempre Inter (via Gazette dello Sport), Inter Milan have begun to show attention to Greek keeper Orestis Karnezis, and could pursue him if contract negotiations with Samir Handanovic do not move forward.

The Udinese shot-stopper previously played for Greek side Panathinaikos and also completed a season-long loan with La Liga club Granada after joining Udinese in 2013. To this point he has made 28 appearances for the Greek national team and was named to the side's 2014 World Cup roster last June.

GdS also claim that Napoli are monitoring Karnezis' status, and could make a swoop for him at the conclusion of the 2014/15 campaign.

Karnezis is one of several keepers on Inter manager Roberto Mancini's radar, and it will be interesting to see who joins the squad if Handanovic chooses to seek greener pastures come season's end.

What do you think? Would a move for Karnezis make sense? And, even if it does, are there other candidates you would prefer Inter pursue instead? Let us know below!
