It has come to be quite well known recently that Inter are actively seeking out backup options for Samir Handanovic should he choose to leave the Nerazzurri either at the end of this season or the next upon the expiration of his contract.
Inside Futbol claims (via the Gazzetta dello Sport) that Inter have recently shown interest in Asmir Begovic, a 27-year-old keeper who plays for English side Stoke City F.C.
Unfortunately, the Potters's asking price for the Bosnia-Herzegovenian international is around €14 million, and that is simply too high a price for Il Biscione to pay at this time.
This is not the first time this particular transfer rumor has made its way to the surface, but Stoke will have to lower their price significantly if they desire to continue to court interest from Mancini and company.
How do you all feel about Inter pursuing Begovic? 27 is a great age to acquire a keeper, especially a proven one, but is Begovic worth Stoke's asking price? Let us know in the comments below!
