Inter Milan looking into Sampdoria's Eder

Another striker is being considered by Inter, and this one already plays in Italy.

The search for Inter Milan's next striker continues, and Football Italia reports that the newest name on the shortlist is Sampdoria's Eder Citadin Martins (aka Eder). His good performances so far this season (including scoring a great free kick against Inter) have earned him a call-up to the Italian national team, and he scored on his debut against Bulgaria.

Inter is not the only team looking at the Italian international however, West Ham is also reportedly very interested in the player and has already submitted an €8m offer to Sampdoria. The team values the player at around €10m so if Inter are truly looking into the 28 year old, they will need to move quickly.

While it would be nice to bring in a striker that has already proven himself in Serie A, this transfer rumor really surprised me, mainly because of Mancini's comments about not wanting foreigners on the Italian national team (speaking against the Brazilian-born Eder, whom Conte had called up). One would think that after saying something like that Eder would not be as open to playing for Mancini, but we'll see what happens.
