If you haven't lived under a rock for the past month and a half, you probably heard multiple times that Inter were interested in purchasing Felipe Melo from Galatasaray and if you are an Inter fan, you probably even yelled out "WHY?!" in anger every time you read about that rumour.
But today all our fears came to an end thanks to this tweet from Galatasaray's official twitter account:
Felipe Melo signs a 3 year contract extension with Galatasaray http://t.co/cM0ipOMt71

Yes, we can all breathe a sigh of relief and get away Branca's ghost from our mind. We fortunately missed out on a mediocre player we didn't need and who would have brought us more troubles than actually being useful in a way or another.
Melo's contract would have ended in less than a year and it was such an urgency for the Turkish side to renew the player's contract or selling him in this summer market in order to avoid the possibility of losing him later without even cashing in some money. Fortunately for us we took too much time to make a concrete offer for him so they choose the first option and renewed the Brazilian's contract for three more years, leaving us (happily) empty-handed.
