Rain spoiled Frank De Boer's debut as new Inter coach on Wednesday but tomorrow he will have to chance to finally show what he has been able to do with the squad in the brief time he was given. As much as I would have wanted to see the Nerazzurri redeem themselves after the unjustifiable 6-1 defeat against Totthenam, I think that not playing against Borussia was actually a good thing. They had more days to get to know their new boss, understand what he wants from them, and maybe gain the confidence lost after the last match and during the last Mancini days, which were a real mess.
Thohir spoke to Inter Channel yesterday and said that he and Suning plan to make more moves in this transfer market but they are waiting for De Boer to work a little more with the team to know what he needs for his project. Meanwhile, it looks like they finally reached an agreement to bring Joao Mario in Milan so the squad De Boer will use tomorrow is far from being the one he will have at his disposal during the season.
Celtic F.C. were supposed to play against Patrick Thistle in the SPFL this weekend but the match has been postponed because of the International Champions Cup match. Patrick Thistle's manager has described the decision to allow the Celts to play against Inter as 'farcical' and he is very frustrated at the fact that his side will have to take a weekend off just because of this match. Whether it is their fault or not, Inter is always making the news. Always.
It looks like Ansaldi will have to miss at least a month because a of strained ligament in his knee so he won't take part to this match and he might lose the first matches of the season. With Ansaldi out of action it will be very interesting seeing who De Boer will chose to play as full-back on both flanks. Erkin might benefit the most from the Argentinian's absence and Nagatomo could earn some playing time too.
De Boer has selected 21 players to take with him for this friendly. Brozovic and Palacio are still out because of muscle tiredness while Candreva has been called up this time, and he could finally make his debut in nerazzurro. Here is the full list:
Goalkeepers: 1 Handanovic, 30 Carrizo, 46 Berni;
Defenders: 13 Ranocchia, 18 Erkin, 24 Murillo, 25 Miranda, 33 D'Ambrosio, 55 Nagatomo, 94 Yao, 95 Miangue;

Forwards: 9 Icardi, 10 Jovetic, 11 Biabiany, 23 Eder, 44 Perisic, 87 Candreva.
