Inter Milan vs Bologna: Live Match Thread

It's TIM Cup time!

Inter vs Bologna tonight is an important match. Here's why.

Reason 1: We need to win this trophy. After the horrendous, disingenuous but in a strange way quite impressive mess we made of our UEFA Europa League campaign before Christmas, the Coppa Italia represents our only (realistic) chance of ending a six-year silverware drought that is starting to become seriously long. Had we picked up a Coppa Italia here or a Supercoppa there at some point in the post-Triplete era, I'm sure the amount of mental anguish we have had to go through of late would have been significantly reduced. It's time to get our name inscribed on something again.

Reason 2: We can win this trophy. For the first time in living memory the Coppa Italia draw has been relatively kind to Inter, ensuring that we cannot meet Juventus, Milan or Napoli until the final (should we get there) and would play the winner of Lazio or Genoa at San Siro should we reach the quarter-finals. It's an opportunity not to be missed.

Reason 3: GABRIEL BARBOSA IS IN THE STARTING XI!

Official Starting XIs:

Inter (4-2-3-1): Carrizo; D'Ambrosio, Medel, Murillo, Ansaldi; Gagliardini, Kondogbia; Barbosa, Joao Mario, Eder; Palacio
