Inside Futbol is reporting Inter Milan is interested in Dutch winger Alessio Da Cruz from Serie B Novara.

So far this season, Da Cruz has connected on five goals with two assists in 14 league matches. He joined the Serie B outfit on a free transfer from FC Twente’s under-21 squad earlier this year. Prior to that, he was on loan from FC Dordrecht.

According to Transfermarkt.com, his market value is set at €150,000 and he is under contract until June 2020.

If the interest is true, the Nerazzurri could face some bidding competition from Arsenal, who are in the market for a replacement to Theo Walcott.

Inter could have the upper hand – again, if the rumors are true – as Da Cruz is used to playing Italian football. But, going to either club could be a struggle as he has no top flight experience on his resume.

Both Arsenal and Inter are in the midst of battling for their respective league’s positions in the Champions League. If either make the cut, Da Cruz would be hard-pressed to make a decision. Tutto Mercato reported Inter scouts were on-hand to see Da Cruz score a goal in Novara’s 3-1 win over Venezia last weekend.

The Nerazzurri currently have Antonio Candreva, Eder and Yann Karamoh slated on the right side, but Karamoh has spent more time with the Primavera and Eder has only subbed on for Mauro Icardi. Candreva has shone on the right, getting six assists in 14 games for Inter, but at 30 years old, Inter may want to have another backup, especially if European football is in the mix next season.

It would appear – again, if the rumors pan out – that Da Cruz would be a better fit for Inter Milan, and he could be a bargain pick-up. Whether he is a need, or even a want at this point, could be another story.
