The final match of the weekend sees Inter host Napoli. The home club is desperate to shake off a disastrous run of form that has sent the team spiraling over the last couple of rounds, and Stefano Pioli will be praying that things get better today. Another humiliating performance would be devastating both to the team’s confidence and to his stock as a manager.
Inter’s stating lineup sees three big changes. It turns out that Miranda has a problem with his right thigh and will be unable to play today, so he is replaced in the starting 11 by Jeison Murillo. The Colombian hasn’t had a chance to show what he can do in a little while so if he puts in a good performance today he might be able to knock Gary Medel out of his place in the defense. The other major change sees Ivan Perisic dropped due to what is believed to be a muscular problem, though the Croatian winger is on the bench. Replacing him is Eder... Finally Gagliardini is partnered with Marcelo Brozovic rather than Kondogbia. The midfielder will get a chance to redeem himself after his horror showing at the end of the Sampdoria match.
