Where: Stadio Olimpico; Rome, Italy

Is this season over yet? Almost.

Inter Milan travel to Rome to face Lazio in the club’s penultimate match of the 2016/17 season. Lazio are in fourth place in the table, have clinched a top-five finish, and are eliminated from the possibility of finishing in the top three. As a result, neither side has much to play for on Sunday.

Lazio are fresh off of their 2-0 loss to Juventus in Wednesday’s Coppa Italia Final, and have been a bit of a mixed bag lately in the league lately. The capital club have three wins, a draw, and a loss in their last five matches, but have outscored opponents by a startling 20-11 margin in that span.

It’ll be interesting to see how a struggling Inter will cope against one of the hottest attacking teams in Italy. Honestly, at this point, I just hope to see some effort and life from the squad.

Team News

Mauro Icardi, Cristian Ansaldi, Miranda and Geoffrey Kondogbia are out for the match. The first three will miss the game due to injury, and Kondogbia will be serving the second match of his two-game suspension, but Gary Medel is set to return from his own ban. As a result, Inter will be stretched rather thin tomorrow.

For Lazio, Wednesday’s loss to Juve came at an added cost of injuries to Stefan de Vrij and Marco Parolo, and a suspension for Stefan Radu. Jordan Lukaku will also miss the match through a hamstring injury.

Possible Starting XIs

Inter (4-3-3): Handanovic; D’Ambrosio, Murillo, Andreolli, Nagatomo; Brozovic, Medel, Gagliardini; Candreva, Eder, Perisic.

Lazio (3-5-2): Strakosha; Bastos, Hoedt, Wallace; Felipe Anderson, Biglia, Milinkovic-Savic, Lulic, Basta; Immobile, Keita
