An extra-time goal from Elia Visconti in the 108th minute pushed the Inter Milan U-17 squad to a 3-2 in over Atalanta in the U-17 championship at Cesena.
It is the 44th title in the history of the youth academy.
In the 17th minute, Andrea Adorante put Inter up 1-0 with a strike from outside the 18-yard mark. Atalanta responded in the 30th minute after Rilind Nivokazi connected on a strike to tie the game.
Just six minutes later, Inter regained the lead when Adorante notched a brace with a strong finish to put the Nerazzurri up 2-1 at the break.
Eleven minutes into the second half, the Bergamaschi leveled the game when Alessandro Rinaldi — with his back to the goal — took a pass in the box and turned to push the ball into the net.
The teams battled back and forth for the duration of regulation. In the 90th minute, Davide Bettella had a shot to win the game for Inter, but his blast was stopped by Atalanta goalkeeper Sergej Luca Piccirillo.
It wasn’t until the 108th minute when Visconti drilled a shot on a breakaway past Piccirillo to win the title — the seventh for Inter’s U-17 squad.
Earlier, Inter’s Primavera and U-18s won titles while the U-15s finished runners-up.
