If David Moyes has a strategy for players, it apparently models bringing in former Inter Milan players.
Reports in England and Italy are that West Ham United have expressed interest in Inter Milan defender Yuto Nagatomo. Currently Nagatomo is on loan in Turkey for the duration of the season.
Nagatomo is looking for minutes on the pitch leading up to the 2018 World Cup in Russia. He has 101 caps for Japan and is looking for more this summer.
Before making the switch to Galatasaray, Nagatomo played in just one game for Inter Milan in their last 10 leading up to the transfer.
Now, Galatasaray does have an option to buy Nagatomo at the end of the season, but if they don’t exercise that, the Japanese international will be free to be sold to other interested parties. In additional West Ham United, Watford have also expressed interest.
Nagatomo could join Joao Mario, who is already on loan at West Ham. Mario’s loan deal with West Ham also gives that club the option to buy.
Presently, West Ham United is on 30 points, three points from the relegation zone, in 13th place overall in the Premier League.
