Inter Milan to play in International Champions Cup 2018

Nerazzurri will stay in Europe for annual summer preseason.

Inter Milan will be part of the International Champions Cup 2018 this summer.

According to the ICC 2018 website, Inter will have three matches this summer in Europe. The Nerazzurri will take on Chelesa, Atletico Madrid and Sevilla.

In their first match of the tournament, Inter will take on Chelesa in Gothenburg, Sweden Aug. 1 then return to Italy to face Sevilla in Lecce Aug. 7.

Their final match will take them to the Wanda Metropolitano to take on Atletico Madrid Aug. 12 – just one week before the start of the Serie A regular season. Wanda Metropolitano will be the site of next season’s Champions League final.

Inter had solid success last summer – their first under Luciano Spalletti. They started with a win over Olimpique Lyon in Nanjing, China before defeating Bayern Munich and Chelsea to claim the Singapore ICC title.

Serie A rivals Juventus, Roma and AC Milan will both play in the ICC 2018 in the United States. Juventus will take on Bayern Munich at Philadelphia July 25, Benfica at New York City July 28 and Real Madrid at Washington D.C. Aug. 4. Roma will face Tottenham Hotspur in San Diego July 25, FC Barcelona in Dallas July 31 and Real Madrid in New York City Aug. 7. Finally, AC Milan will take on Manchester United in Los Angeles July 25, Tottenham Hotspur in Minneapolis July 31 and Real Madrid in San Francisco Aug. 4.
