Now, I love FIFA and PES for gaming consoles and I never really took a lot of stock in player ratings — until late as I discovered drafting your own team and such.
With the player ratings for FIFA 19 being released, I did find some of the data rather interesting. Supposedly, EA Sports uses actually player data to determine ratings (I am sure mixed in with some subjective thoughts about individual players).
While Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo was the top-rated player, I was rather shocked with who the top-ranked player for Inter Milan was.
None other than goalkeeper Samir Handanovic.
Overall, Inter had four players make the top 100 rankings as Handanovic was followed by forwards Mauro Icardi and Ivan Persic. Midfielder Radja Nainggolan was ranked No. 80 overall by EA Sports.
For those who don’t play FIFA on the Playstation, XBOX or whatever other console you play on, EA Sports has a metal ranking for players — gold, silver and bronze.
Inter Milan had 21 players rank gold — including wantaway midfielder Joao Mario. Milan Skriniar — who is now in a contract issue with the Nerazzurri — also ranked in the top 10 of Inter players, but of course, so did Borja Valero so take from it what you will.
Even Henrique Dalbert warranted a gold status, for some reason. While Daniele Padeli and Yann Karamoh were silver players. Longtime backup goalkeeper Tommaso Berni was the lone bronze player on the Inter squad.
