On Wednesday, former Manchester United and AC Milan star David Beckham unveiled the team name and logo for his Major League Soccer franchise in Miami, Florida.
Club Internacional de Futbol Miami, or more commonly known as Inter Miami CF, will begin playing in MLS in 2020. Beckham said the team name is meant to personify “a truly global location that welcomes and embraces all cultures and communities.”

“This is such a proud day for myself and the entire team,” Beckham, who is both an owner and president of football operations of the club, said. “It’s an honor to announce the new name and crest to our fans.
“We are taking another important step in establishing our club and today marks an important moment in the history of Club Internacional de Futbol Miami.”
Well, it didn’t take long for the crack team at Inter Milan to poke fun of Beckham and the team name via social media.
