Mourinho calls potential return to Inter ‘tremendous honor’

Just a month after being sacked at Manchester United, former boss Jose Mourinho said being linked with former clubs Real Madrid and Inter Milan is a “tremendous honor,” according to ESPN.

The “special one” was immediately linked to replacing either Santiago Solari at Real Madrid or Luciano Spalletti at Inter after he was fired.

”If any professional -- a manager or a player -- is wanted by a former club, it means we did something positive,” he told Correo da Manha. “I felt this when I went back to Chelsea [in 2013.]

”When any professional returns to a club it is a tremendous honour [sic]. They’re not signing someone they don’t know, they are going for someone they know, someone who has already been there.

”But when I am not managing, I love that people do not talk about me and the best way to achieve that is for me to also not talk.”

Mourinho helped lead Inter to the treble — Scudetto, Coppa Italia and Champions League titles — in 2010.

Nainggolan has been hampered with injuries and disciplinary action for the season, but apparently PSG would be interested in picking him up.
