Lukaku leaves Lazio

Jordan Lukaku has been dealt to Newcastle United from Lazio according to reports.

The younger brother to Manchester United striker Romelu, will head to St. James Park for a €500,000 loan fee and Newcastle have the option to purchase Jordan at the end of the season.

The younger Lukaku has managed just seven appearances this season with Lazio as he has battled a knee injury for most of the season.

Juventus open to unload Benatia

Calciomercato reported Juventus may be open to dealing Medhi Benatia away from the club during this transfer season.

The Old Lady has rejected offers from Schalke 04 and Marseille, but a new offer from Al Duhail for more than €10 million has come in and Juventus may be open to discussion. The new offer from Al Duhail is a permanent transfer.

However, the report states Juventus want to find a replacement in the market for Benatia before dealing him away.

Milan full back makes light jab at Higuain

AC Milan full back Ignazio Abate took a slight to Gonzalo Higuain moving from the club to Chelsea during the transfer season.

In an interview with Mediaset, Abate suggested Higuain didn’t want to be “part of their project” in Milan.

”I would like to say goodbye to the Pipita [Higuain], because he was well integrated in the group, then every player has a history of his own and those who do not feel like being part of this project are right to make their own choices,” Abate said.

Inter Milan complete deal for Rodrigo De Paul

SportItalia’s Alfredo Pedulla has reported Inter Milan have completed a deal to bring Udinese playmaker Rodrigo De Paul to the Giuseppe Meazza.

The deal is for €35 million and De Paul will join the Nerazzurri at the end of the season.

Arsenal enter race for Perisic

While he’s been primarily linked to Manchester United, apparently Premier League foe Arsenal is now interested in getting Inter Milan winger Ivan Perisic.

Perisic has 18 months left on his contract with the Nerazzurri, but the club is interested in listening to offers for the Croatian international.

Manchester United could drop out of the race as Anthony Martial could seek a contract extension with the Red Devils.

Soares on his way to Inter

talkSPORT broadcaster Alex Crook is reporting that Southampton left back Cedric Soares is close to signing a four-and-a-half-year deal worth nearly €15 million.

Soares, a Portuguese international has made 119 appearances for the Saints, scoring a pair of goals in the process.
