The win kept Inter Milan on top of Serie B with 30 points, eight in front of second-place Empoli. Ravenna dropped to third, a point behind Empoli.
“Very important victory,” said Inter captain Regina Baresi, in a tweet. “All together we can do anything.”

Early on, it was Ravenna who controlled the pace, but a right-footed shot by Alice Regazzoli put Inter up 1-0 in the sixth minute of the match.
Goalkeeper Katja Schroffenegger was able to deflect shots out of the back of the net at Ravenna started to press after the Nerazzurre took the lead.
Shortly after Cameron was kept away from an equalizer, Marinelli nearly doubled Inter’s lead in just before the half-hour mark after getting a nice pass from Baresi.
But Ravenna was able to equalize just before halftime when Barbaresi placed a shot from just outside the area past Schroffenegger.
The second half started with both teams battling back and forth for position.
It wasn’t until the 70th minute when Giorgia Filippi put Ravenna ahead after Marinelli was denied on the other side of the field.
Marinelli wouldn’t be denied seven minutes later when they brought Inter Milan back even. Six minutes later, Marinelli completed her brace with the help of a pass from Alessia Rognoni. That put Inter in front for good.
