Mauro Icardi and Paulo Dybala swap?

With both players likely to leave their respective clubs in the summer, rumours have turned up that there could be a possible swap. Beppe Marotta quickly shot that down in an interview he had with Sky Sport:

“We do not intend to sell Icardi. He will do well in the future too. Paratici has said that we will see what we will do in June? The same goes for Dybala, we will see what he will do in June.”

Only time will tell, but this summer is lining up to be very interesting.

LionRock Capital becomes 2nd largest shareholder of Inter

After a shareholders meeting today, President Steven Zhang spoke to the media. He came out and said how LionRock capital has become the 2nd largest shareholder with 31.05% of the shares. Here is what President Zhang had to say at his press conference about the club and LionRock:

“We’ve been working on this project for about two and a half years. We’re trying to win both on and off the pitch. A new partner like LionRock coming in really proves that our project is attractive and that we’re really moving along and trying to be successful. Important partners like these really appreciate our work, our success, moving forward, season by season, week by week with partners like these really provide us with good resources not only domestically but also internationally. With their knowledge and partnership, we’re very confident that in the short term or even in the long term, we are moving forward with our projects and our success.”

He goes on to say how Inter needs to focus winning on and off the pitch. The club is most certainly going in the right direction under this leadership and we will see how far they can take them.

Wanda Nara discusses Mauro Icardi situation

Wanda Nara, Mauro Icardi’s wife and agent, went on the Tiki Taka TV Show and spoke about the contract situation as well as yesterday’s game.

“Mauro never thought about money. If he did he would have made other decisions. Instead he wears Inter’s jersey with pride just like he did the captain’s armband by doing everything to honor it. I found out from Twitter that the removed it. I’m always in contact with Marotta and Ausili, I had a meeting with other people from the club, but they didn’t say anything to Mauro or I”

Not really the best scenario for either side as Mauro and Wanda have taken a lot of heat recently. Seems here that they are trying to make it seem mutual and both sides should get some hate. I have no doubt that Mauro loves this club and jersey. To say it isn’t about the money seems a bit naive.

After Radja Nainggolan scored the go ahead and eventual game winning goal, Mauro watched with no emotion on his face. He is still a part of the team and seems odd that he would not be excited if he cared only about the jersey. Meanwhile in the stands, Keita Balde was picking up Ivan Perisic’ kid in excitement.
