It has been a very “roller-coaster” last two seasons with Inter Milan.
Waiting until the last day of the season to secure qualification to the Champions League has kept many Interisti on the edge of their seats.
Not to mention all of the drama that has come with the team.
But, through all of that, this community has held steadfast. Even though we all have differences of opinion regarding what the team should do moving forward, the Serpents community has remained loyal to the end.
That is why what I write is one of the hardest things do write today.
I will be stepping down as site manager of Serpents of Madonnina as soon as a replacement is found.
Let me take a breath after that ...
Okay.
Let me preface everything with ... I love Inter Milan and have for a very long time.
Through the ups and downs, the Nerazzurri have been in my heart and that will never change.
During the last two years, this community has also found a place in my heart. That, too, will never change. From the contributors to the regular posters, I want to say a big, heart-felt thank you for all you have done.
It is because of you that Serpents is one of the top Inter Milan fan sites in the world.
What we have built together in the last two season ... and even beyond that ... is phenomenal. That is because of you.
My reasons for stepping down are simple ... I don’t feel I have the time to dedicate to the site to continue to grow it. With my family, my job and our move to Florida in the coming weeks, I felt it was time to do this now and let someone new come in and take the reins.
I fully plan to stay with the site and contribute as I can, but I want this site to continue its upward trajectory and I don’t believe I have the time to help make that happen.
I want to keep watching Inter as they enter what could be a new beginning with potentially a new coach and perhaps new players.
I want to keep being a part of this ever-growing community of passionate and dedicated fans.
And, I hope the next manager will allow that to happen.
With that, I want to say ‘thank you’ to everyone, like:
- Will Beckman whose social media prowess has helped grow this community beyond my wildest dreams.
- Robbie Bowen, who has stepped in and contributed from the beginning of his tenure with Serpents.
- Mathew Cohen, who recently joined Serpents and has immediately made an impact.
- Regular posters like TheOnceandFutureDrewseph, Nick Inter, miamicharlie, Inter per Sempre and many others (there are simply too many to name them all) for your activity on the site and your incredible dedication to the team and Serpents.
So, it is not a good bye, but and “until next time.”
Note: I did want to explain the lack of coverage for Inter’s last match. There was some technical difficulties getting into the site this weekend, preventing us from posting. That has been fixed and should not be an issue moving forward. Please accept my apologies for that issue.
Until next time ... Forza Inter!
