We’ve heard the rumors for what feels like forever but at long last, it’s official! Inter announced today that Lautaro has signed a new contract lasting until June 2026. The Argentine’s previous deal ran through the 2022/23 season and had a €111-million release clause. According to Fabrizio Romano, the release clause is no more and Lautaro will be receiving an improved salary.
Here’s the official statement from the club.
MILAN - FC Internazionale Milano have announced that an agreement has been reached to extend Lautaro Martinez’s contract. The Argentine will be at the club until 30 June 2026.
Lautaro’s importance has grown season after season at the San Siro since joining from Racing Club in 2018. He’s scored 54 goals and notched 21 assists in 144 appearances for the Nerazzurri and was a key part of last season’s Scudetto victory. Renewing Lautaro is an important message that Inter might not be done yet despite a summer of transformation. The 24-year-old received significant interest from Tottenham and Atletico Madrid over the summer but is now set for a long-term role at the Meazza.
Forza Lautaro!
