It must be a break if I’m writing about stadium build plans. There are some reports trickling out of Italy this week that the new San Siro could receive the go-ahead from the necessary parties sometime this year.
The City Council is officially in place in Milan and the future of the San Siro should be getting closer to a final decision now that the political aspect is complete. Mayor Beppe Sala approves of building a new stadium and Milan president Paolo Scaroni iterated that he approves of the recent details of the plan as well.
“Mayor Sala approves of the modifications we made and now he must convince the majority. I find it difficult to understand how they think we can restructure a stadium that hosts games at least twice a week. You can’t play and have fans attend in security when the stadium is a building site.”
