It’s safe to say most Inter Milan fans would agree that getting a signature from Marcelo Brozovic is one of the key priorities in the coming weeks. With the Croatian midfielder’s contract on its last legs, a renewal is key for such a vital player.
I won’t lecture you on the importance of these negotiations, all I’ll say is that the latest reporting that I’m finding seems to point to Brozovic rejecting the latest contract offer from Inter. That led to a report from Football Italia yesterday that points toward Inter setting a deadline for the end of January.
How “strict” this deadline is remains to be seen. The details around the contract talks point towards the midfielder requesting “€7m net per season” and hoping to work with Inter from their recent offer of “€5.5m net per season”.
I’m sure the two will meet in the middle and get this done. But nevertheless, it’s worth noting the supposed scary “deadline”.
