With the 2020/21 season coming to a close, attention is already starting to turn to August. The most important part of the new campaign is of course the kits. Leak season is at last upon us and Inter’s 2021/22 home strip is the latest to make a premature entrance. Thanks to FootyHeadlines, we have pictures of what the Nerazzurri will line up in come the Fall.
According to FootyHeadlines, this is “more likely than not” next season’s home jersey, though it’s not 100% certain. There is no front sponsor yet, with a Pirelli successor yet to be found. On the back, Lenovo replaces Driver as seen on the 2022/23 kit. The snake print design matches what has been leaked previously, including the colors.
While the pattern is unique, the lack of black is a glaring defect. After all, Inter is the Nerazzurri, not the Navy/Azzurri. As the below rendering shows, black/blue stripes rather than blue/blue would bump the kit up a level or two. The gold lettering is a point in its favor and with a sponsor and name on the back, the jersey will look a much more complete product compared to the leaks. Most important of all, however, is that the Scudetto patch will adorn the center. And that alone may make all of next season’s kits worth the purchase.
