There are many ways to catch the eye of big-money clubs around the world. Being a key piece to a Serie A winning club and then the next month be equally as important to a European Championship winning side is among the top ways to get noticed.
That leads us to a report this week that Liverpool and Manchester United (via Tutto Mercato) are reportedly interested in Nicolò Barella. The midfielder was one of the most important players for both Inter Milan and Italy in their title-winning campaigns this year and is as appealing as it gets for Premier League clubs.
The 24-year-old is also being targeted for a contract extension by Inter in the hopes to ward off any big spenders. It would really suck to lose both Barella and Hakimi in the same offseason, so let’s hope a nice extension gets completed.
