Ajax goalkeeper Andre Onana is reportedly undergoing his medical in Italy ahead of a transfer to Inter this summer. The Cameroon keeper has been seen as the replacement for an aging Samir Handanovic and personal terms have apparently been agreed to.
The contract could be a five-year deal and Inter informed Ajax of the move via an email, which is a detail I find hilarious as I was under the assumption football clubs operated by fax alone.
Inter beat out teams the likes of Arsenal and Barcelona for his signature and a nice young keeper in goal. Although there are rumblings in the Italian papers that Handnanovic may stick around to try and snag the starting spot. At the very least, I’d like to see him hang around to mentor Onana as he comes into his own at Inter.
