Andrea Ranocchia’s topsy-turvy Inter career has come to an end. The Frog is heading to Monza on a free transfer with a contract for the next season.

Ranocchia has been at Inter since his 2010 move from Genoa, making 223 appearances, scoring 14 goals, and making 5 assists. The 34-year-old’s career at the Meazza wasn’t always a smooth ride and he even spent a season on loan at Hull City in between. But at the end of the day, Ranocchia was a great servant to the club and deserved to be a Scudetto champion more than anyone. Despite only registering 10 appearances in all comps this past season, the Frog added a Coppa Italia and Super Coppa to his CV, scoring a crucial goal to ensure Inter’s qualification over Empoli in the cup.

Ranocchia will continue his adventure at Silvio Berlusconi-owned Monza, back in the top flight for the first name since 1912 after winning the Serie B promotion playoffs. Berlusconi is determined to not only keep Monza up but secure their safety for years to come and is ready to splash the cash, so the Biancorossi and their summer plans are sure to have an impact across the league.
