There are a couple of lines of thinking when it comes to Inter Milan’s summer business for defenders. If Inter are set on selling Milan Skriniar, it’s expected that they’re able to bring in Torino’s Gleison Bremer.
If they aren’t able to lure Bremer from Torino, and they sell Skriniar, I don’t know what their plan is. That’s what makes the reporting today that Juventus have overtaken Inter in the race for Bremer a bit concerning.
Juventus are also in the process of losing a star defender to a giant club. In their case, it’s Matthijs de Ligt to Bayern Munich. The most interesting piece of all of this is that if they sell De Ligt to Bayern before Inter accepts a PSG offer for Skriniar, I don’t know where that leaves Inter.
At that point, does Inter decide to keep Skriniar? Or is the giant PSG offer too great to turn down, even if it means leaving a gaping Bremerless and Skriniarless hole in the back line?
