Inter announced Monday that they have rebranded the logo to help with uniformity and globalization.  President Erick Thohir's plan is for the new logo to be on everything Inter. The change has already been implemented across different platforms and levels of marketing, as well as over 1,000 Inter products.

Along with the "Insieme" campaign for 2014-15, the new logo is in full swing across the Inter website and its social media accounts. Early leaks of this season's shirt originally showed the new crest in play, though it has been clarified that the star will remain above the club's logo on kits.

So what is the main difference? Most noticeably, the star is gone from the crest.  Many Interisti are divided over the change, which came somewhat as a surprise.  The press release has garnered some negative responses from around the internet, which brings us to this:

Here is the new crest next to the old crest for comparison.

What do YOU think of the change and do you like it?  Do you think it was necessary?

On Tuesday morning, Inter also confirmed the shirts for the 2014-15 season.  We posted the rumoured shirts few weeks ago and it is now official.

The home shirts are now available for purchase at the official online Inter store.
