According to Forza Italian Football and other sources, Inter are keeping and eye on the 27-year-old Atletico de Madrid midfielder as a potential target during the mercato.
The Spanish international is likely one of several fallback plans for the Nerazzurri at the position, as it has been rumored that Inter's Yann M'Vila has been linked with a January move away from the club.
Sources at La Gazzetta dello Sport claim that Inter are interested in Suarez's services, but that an attempt to sign him will be dependent on several factors, including which new players arrive and which current players depart the San Siro in January.
As we have previously reported, Liverpool's Lucas Leiva is Mancini's top choice to bring in for this position, but the Reds have been reluctant to commit to a sale for the Brazilian international.
Other players currently being considered to fill this role include former Nerazzurri player Thiago Motta (Paris Saint-Germain), Paulinho (Tottenham Hotspur), and Ignacio Camacho (Malaga).
