Davide Santon called up for Italy

After a disappointing draw against Bulgaria, Italy's coach Antonio is thinking about making some changes in his team to find the players that could fit best in his squad. Despite the fact that the 3-men defence lined up Saturday was exclusively composed by Juventus players, Italy struggled against a mediocre team, suffering too much in a match that they should have controlled easily. It has to be said that the defensive problems were not all their fault, but what lacked was the help from a midfield put together under the wire.

The Nerazzurro Davide Santon and the Rossonero Ignazio Abate are the players chosen by Conte to replace respectively Darmian, who was a little beat up after the match in Sofia even if last minute news say that he may stay with the Azzurri, and Pasqual, the Viola captain returned home last Friday for a rib injury.

Santon will join his teammate Ranocchia at Italy's training camp and both should see some playing time against England on Tuesday given the bad performances by the starter squad lately, so it could be an important test for them, having the chance to show what they are capable of against a good national team.
