After months of negotiations, denials, and confusion, Mancini has finally gotten his man. Ivan Perisic has signed a five year contract to officially join Inter Milan from German club Wolfsburg. The deal is believed to be a loan with an obligation to purchase with an overall cost of €20m divided into three installments.
The Croatian winger arrives to give the side extra width in the attack, and will allow Mancini to alternate between a 4231 and 433 formation (with the occasional 4312). He has long been considered the coach's top choice for this position, while players like Lavezzi and Lamela were alternatives if the 26 year old was unable to arrive. I am not going to give a detalied description of the new Inter player because Luca already did a in-depth profile of him.
With this buy wrapped up the club will now be looking to complete any last minute deals before the transfer market closes on Monday. Players like Taider, Schelotto, and Nagatomo are being offered to new clubs (with a deal for Taider to head to Bologna looking quite possible). In terms of any late newcomers deals with Eder and/or Borini are still being talked about, while Atlético Madrid full-back Siqueira is edging closer to joining the Nerazzurri.
Either way now that Mancini has his main targets for this transfer market fans and management alike will be expecting him and the players to succeed on the pitch. Benvenuto Perisic and let's see what you can do!
