Following the disappointing news that Marcelo Brozovic will be out for a month, Inter are reportedly a bit testy with the Croatian FA regarding how the entire international break was handled. The injury took place in the first half of Croatia’s win over Austria on Sunday and saw Brozo taken off with a flexor injury.

The reported frustration comes on the back of Brozo playing a full match against Denmark despite Inter’s assessment that he wasn’t 100% fit going into that match. The Croatian was already not playing in the training matches due to muscle fatigue and Inter believe that he should have been sat.

Instead, he started both matches for the national team and ends up getting an unfortunate injury. The timing sucks for both Brozovic and Inter. The Nerazzurri are amidst an incredible period of tumultuous results and this doesn’t help. For Brozo, the World Cup is around the corner and you want to be in peak match fitness to represent your country. Let’s hope for a quick recovery.
