Danilo D’Ambrosio has contributed to the success of the Nerazzurri so far in the campaign.
The Italian has showcased in all 14 games this season, registering over 1,000 minutes for the club. D’Ambrosio has 1 goal and 2 assists. One of each tally has come in his last 8 contests.
The right back has been very solid in Inter’s own end, according to WhoScored. D’Ambrosio registers 2.4 tackles and 1.3 interceptions per game.
Passing is a huge part of the game for the average full back. D’Ambrosio checks that box as he averages a near 85 percent pass success rate in the campaign.
The 29-year-old came from fellow Serie A side Torino near the 2013-14 season for around 2 million euros. It’s fair to say that the money has been well spent by the starting minutes he’s garnered this season.
What’s even more impressive is that D’Ambrosio made his 100th appearance for Inter in the last contest against Cagliari. According to the club’s website, the defender is very happy at where he’s at right now.
It’s nice to see that the players look fully committed to the club at the moment. Milan Skriniar shot down rumors of a potential transfer to Barcelona or Chelsea, while noting he’s focused on potentially playing Champions League football next season.
Mauro Icardi has done the same, as the top scorer has been linked with numerous top clubs as of late.
Spalletti seems to have his team geared towards the same direction. Everybody in the squad has their own goals which benefit to the success of Internazionale.
As for D’Ambrosio, it’s a great accomplishment to reach the 100 game threshold. Some can question his decision making at times, but there’s no doubt he’s been a solid contributor this season.
Hopefully the near 30-year-old defender can make it to 200 appearances for the blue and black sometime in the future.
