Nerazzurri prepare for league leaders in Primavara TIM Cup.

A strike from Nicolo Zaniolo in the second half was enough to lift the Inter Milan Primavera to a 1-0 win over Napoli over the weekend.

It sets the stage for the Nerazzurri’s matchup with Atalanta Wednesday in the Primavera TIM Cup.

The win kept Inter three points back of Atalanta in the Primavera standings. Inter is four points clear of AC Milan and five in front of Juventus.

Zaniolo came on midway through the second half to take the points off a header in the 74th minute.

In the first half, Inter had chances from distance as Facundo Colidio was unable to direct a ball toward the net in the 30th minute. Colidio had another chance two minutes later, but his effort was wide of the net.

Xian Emmers took Inter’s first chance in the second half with an attempt, but could not make solid contact with a cross.

Now, Inter will take on Atalanta in the quarterfinals of the Primavera TIM Cup. The game is scheduled for 14:30 CET (9:30 a.m. ET) on Dec. 20. The game will be at the Stadio Breda in Sesto San Giovanni and will be broadcast live on Inter TV and the Inter Milan Facebook page.
