Both Inter Milan and PSV Eindhoven are battling for the support of one of their best players.
In a Twitter exchange both the Nerazzurri and Dutch champs are looking to garner the support of Ronaldo — who spent time at both clubs over the course of his career.
The Brazilian started with PSV in 1994 before coming to the San Siro in 1997.
Hey @Ronaldo, who will you be supporting tomorrow evening? #UCL #PSVInter #PSVFCIM

It took about four minutes for PSV to level this response:
Obviously us! #PSVFCIM #UCL pic.twitter.com/uXkMraeYUl
— PSV (@PSV) October 2, 2018
That response didn’t sit well with the Inter Milan marketing department, so they fired this off:
Are you sure? I mean, he did score some of his best goals for us! #PSVInter #PSVFCIM pic.twitter.com/BpzKNEO9bv
— Inter (@Inter_en) October 2, 2018
But, PSV was not about to be outdone by the Nerazzurri:
Sorry, but we're not convinced

That was all well and good, but Inter seemed to fire the last salvo in the battle:
Yes, but what about this? #PSVInter #PSVFCIM pic.twitter.com/49KVIqIB7j
— Inter (@Inter_en) October 2, 2018
Ronaldo finally chimed in with his one politically correct response:
Come on! I have wonderful memories with both teams. Good luck! #PSVInter #PSVFCIM #UCL
— Ronaldo Nazário (@Ronaldo) October 2, 2018
If you break it down, between the two teams, Ronaldo had better output with PSV — scoring 51 goals in 54 games. However, he scored 59 times in 98 matches with Inter Milan and won more trophies.
Overall, his best was with Real Madrid where he scored 104 goals in 177 matches with 23 assists.
Inter Milan will play at Eindhoven on Wednesday in their Group B match of the Champions League.
