Now that Inter’s 2020/21 season has drawn to a close, we have the luxury of reliving some of our favorite moments from the past nine months. And where better to start than the best goals Inter has produced? I had the enjoyable task of watching all one-hundred and one of the Nerazzurri's 2020/21 goals and ranked the top ten definitively and correctly.
Maybe. You’ll have to be the judge of that.
10 - Christian Eriksen vs Napoli
WHAT A STRIKE FROM CHRISTIAN ERIKSEN pic.twitter.com/CfoaYjwEyT
— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) April 18, 2021
Once Eriksen started to click in Milan, he was an immediate provider of highlight reel after highlight reel. His strike against Napoli (the first open play goal from the Dane) was an excellent example of his incredible technical skill and left Alex Meret with no chance of making a save.
9- Lautaro Martinez vs Torino (Sanchez assist)

Like his Danish teammate, Lautaro is also a name that features frequently in this list. The Argentine’s first submission is his gravity-defying header for a late game-winner against Torino.
8 - Nicolo Barella vs Fiorentina (Sanchez assist)
Sensational Goal from Barella!!!! pic.twitter.com/qC7Q6NJPLm

Barella doesn’t score often, but when he does it’s usually a banger and in a crucial moment. He scored the game-winner in a 2-0 win at Fiorentina with a sublime curling effort from long range.
7 - Lautaro Martinez vs Sassuolo (Lukaku assist)

Lautaro and Lukaku’s combinations caused nonstop havoc in the final third. Inter’s strike pair's best goal of the season came against Sassuolo off a lethal counter-attack that left the Neroverdi backline in the dust. It proved to be the game-winner as well and kept the Nerazzurri's lengthy spring winning run alive another week.
6 - Nicolo Barella vs Cagliari
Brilliant performance from Barella today as he carried the team as he always does, and getting rewarded with this beautiful volley against his old club. pic.twitter.com/My4DQNf8j7

It feels cruel to put Barella’s perfectly struck volley against Cagliari out of the top five but that only goes to show how many goals of insane quality Inter tallied this past season.
5 - Achraf Hakimi vs Roma (Brozovic assist)
What a finish from Inter full back Achraf Hakimi pic.twitter.com/6V0ENhizWD
— ESPN FC (@ESPNFC) January 10, 2021
One of the highlights of Hakimi’s first season in Milan was his go-ahead goal against Roma back in January. The Moroccan unleashed a rocket into the upper ninety that would have left any goalkeeper in the world frozen.
4 - Nicolo Barella vs Juventus (Bastoni assist)

While the quality of the goal is most important in these rankings, its importance factors in as well. And its hard to find a more timely goal than Barella’s second-half strike against Juventus that gave Inter crucial breathing room. The goal itself was a piece of art as well, with Bastoni’s pin-point delivery finding the midfielder streaking in behind. Barella’s control and finish were unmatched.
3 - Lautaro Martinez vs Real Madrid (Barella Assist)

Rounding out the top three is one of the few moments of joy that the Champions League provided Inter. While the Nerazzurri went on to lose 3-2, Barella’s backheel flick-on that was expertly finished by Lautaro was a rare piece of European magic for Inter.
2 - Christian Eriksen vs AC Milan

Speaking of magic, Eriksen could hardly have dreamed of a more enchanting goal to open his 2020/21 account. I talked about the importance of the Dane’s amazing free-kick here. Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ll be watching it on repeat for the next half-four.
1 - Lautaro Martinez vs AC Milan (Perisic assist)
AC Milan 0-2 Inter

Lautaro Martinez finishes off a beautiful move for Inter pic.twitter.com/nytvsuFlaX
Talk about a goal that found a perfect balance between beauty and timing. Inter was holding onto a one-goal lead in the early minutes of the second half against Milan, but the Rossoneri had already forced Samir Handanovic into a trio of world-class saves since the interval. Inter’s advantage didn’t look like it was going to last long. But with one incredible, sweeping team play, the Nerazzurri doubled its lead out of the blue. Almost every Inter player touched the ball en route to the goal and the movement and precision of the Nerazzurri’s attack was a sight to behold.
Now that I’ve had my say, which goal was your favorite from the past season? Did I leave out any? Let us know in the poll and comments below.
