Inter Milan officially announced the signing of Felipe Caicedo and the loaning out of Stefano Sensi today. The Serie A leaders already bolstered the squad with Robin Gosens earlier in the week, so grabbing Caicedo is a nice cherry on top.

The first Ecuadorian to play for Inter spoke about what it means to be reunited with his old Lazio boss Inzaghi at the San Siro.

“I’m very excited. I want to be a success here. First of all, I want to thank the coach, Inzaghi for trying his best to bring me here. I’m delighted and can’t wait to start training and playing for Inter. I’m really proud to represent my country and to be the first Ecuadorian to play for Inter. I’m very happy and I think I can do very well here.”

I worked with him for four years at Lazio and now we get to link up again. He was really important. He convinced me to join straight away. So I am grateful and can’t wait to start training under him again.”

This Inter team was already a treat to watch pull-out clutch performance after clutch performance, and now they have a man who loves scoring in extra time, scoring six after the 90th minute at Lazio. Welcome to chaos Felipe, we’re excited to have you.
