Chelsea keying in on Dumfries after another Reece setback - report

In more silly season reporting, we have Chelsea really focusing on Denzel Dumfries as a January move. There was some scuttlebutt that they were interested in a move in recent months but it didn’t make a ton of sense given Reece James and his status at the club.

However, now that James has suffered a second injury in his first match back against Bournemouth this week, the tides could be changing. There hasn’t been concrete reporting on the extent of the most recent knee injury, but Chelsea may not want to wait all that long to make a move if they feel it's that concerning.

Manchester United are also apparently interested in Dumfries, but they seem keen on everyone in the world. Chelsea is a move that makes sense, but I must say, losing Milan Skriniar and Denzel in January would be even a step too far for Suning.
