This has been coming for some time, but this week it’ll be official. This week is my last week as the “official” manager of Serpents. I’ve been in this role for a few years now, and it’s been a blast. I started blogging in high school, and managing one of these sites was always a dream.
Although I never imagined managing an Inter Milan site, it turned out to be such a fun experience. From the Scudetto to the Champions League final, I’ve gained a real fandom and appreciation for Italian football and Inter in particular. You all have been so kind to me in my mistakes through the years, and I appreciate the community that has thrived with the ebb and flow of the site’s activity.
I would say that in my time here, I did a good job as a caretaker. Given my day job and family commitments, it was always a challenge to stay hyper-engaged in the world of football. But I was never the caliber of manager that I think the next one will be.
David has honestly been the heart and soul of the site for some time now. He’s a caring football fan who loves Inter and loves blogging. The passion he has for the sport and the site are fairly obvious, and he’s been doing the job of manager for some time now. I’m so excited to officially hand the reins over to him tomorrow and watch the site thrive.
So, thank you for letting me lead the site. I’m thrilled to leave it in such good hands.
