Yesterday, the events of Day 2 continued on the trend of non-stop excitement and drama as the Netherlands defeated Mexico in the final moments of the match with a score of 2-1.  The weather seemed to heavily influence the player's performance and once again water breaks were instituted as the heat and humidity reached extreme conditions. Former Inter trequartista, Wesley Sneijder, scored the first Dutch goal and former AC Milan player, Huntelaar, scored the go ahead goal from the spot in added time.  It was ecstasy for the Dutch and heartbreak for the Mexico supporters.

The headline that seemed to garner the most headlines was the tweet (later deleted) by Dutch based airlines, KLM.

While the action from the first match influenced fan reaction both on and off the pitch, the second matchup of Costa Rica v Greece was unrivaled in drama as it ended in penalty kicks. A red card, playing a man down for nearly an hour, and a miraculously saved goal were the main talking points as the CONCACAF upset kings, Costa Rica, defeated Greece to move onto the quarterfinals.

With all of yesterday's drama, how can today's events even compare?  Well France and Germany both face African sides that can both eliminate them to advance to the next round. Nothing is as it seems in this World Cup and below are the details of both matches for you to follow and comment on as well.

Will Serie A's Pogba influence the match in France's way or will Inter rumored midfielder Obi Mikel lead his Nigeria squad onwards and upwards?

The second match features a strong German team and Inter's own Taider may feature for the Algerian team.  This World Cup has offered excitement as well as unexpected results, will this match offer the ultimate upset?
