Andrea Pinamonti picked up goals in the 10th and 28th minute while Danish striker Jens Odgaard put an exclamation in the 78th to give Inter Milan’s Primavera a 3-0 win at Lobanovskyi Stadium in Kiev Wednesday.
Pinamonti picked up his first goal early thanks to a pin-point pass from Albanian midfielder Armand Rada.
It was the same combination in the 28th minute as Rada made an assist finished by Pinamonti — giving the Italian a brace.
Odgaard made his presence felt in the latter stages of the second half when he slipped a ball into the back of the net. It was the second goal for the Dane in UEFA Youth League play this year.
In league play, Inter knocked off Sampdoria last Friday, 2-0. The win put the Primavera with 10 point on five games and in a three-way tie for third in the league with Sassuolo and Roma. The Primavera will host Fiorentina on Sunday, Oct. 22. The Viola youth are tied for the league lead with Atalanta on 12 points.
In the Youth League, Inter will advance to take on Esbjerg. The Danish team knocked off KaPa of Finland, 2-1 in their final leg.
The first leg of the next round will be in Milan on Nov. 1 with the second leg Nov. 22 in Denmark, according to Inter’s website.
