Another soccer season is underway and that can mean one of many things: that another FIFA game has been released. For some Inter fans, the biggest performances of the season will lie on the virtual pitch of San Siro.
Who is the best player on the squad this season? Any player worth spending coins on in FUT? Let’s find out by breaking down some of the top players for Internazionale in FIFA 18.
GK Samir Handanović - 87 Rating
The Slovenian native earns Inter’s best player rating for FIFA 18. Handanović started 37 Serie A matches last season, posting 1.27 GAA and a 70.3 save percentage.
The 33-year-old had the same 87 rating in FIFA 17. His top individual areas involve diving, reflexes and positioning which are all 87 rated. Handanović was given an 86 in handling, making him one of the most acrobatic goalkeepers in the game this year.
CB Miranda - 86 Rating
Another Inter player that received the same rating in FIFA 17. Miranda started 32 matches last season before an injury kept the defender out for the final five matches of the season.
Miranda’s rating might come as a shock to some. What propels the Brazilian’s rating up is his 88 defending stat. It’s a rather significant drop after that, with a physical rating of 77 being his next best stat. Inter fans will end up just accepting the fortunate 86 rating given by those at EA Sports.
LM Ivan Perišić - 84 Rating
Great news as Perišić’s rating of 83 in FIFA 17 got bumped up... to an 84?
The 28-year-old proved his value last season by bagging 11 goals for Inter in 31 games started. Perišić’s play last season drew much deserved attention from Manchester United.
His individual stats are a bit more confusing. The Croatian native received an overall 84 pace rating and an 80 in shooting. From my perspective, Perišić’s rating could go up at least a few more points, but the folks at EA must have seen differently.
ST Mauro Icardi - 84 Rating
Another head-scratching rating as Icardi received an 84 in FIFA 18. Both Icardi and Perišić were a crucial duo for Inter last season.
Icardi, a proven goal scorer, netted 26 goals in all competitions last season. It’s no question that the Argentine is among Europe’s most feared attackers.
The striker earned an 89 in both positioning and finishing, but received an 81 shot power rating. This averaged to an 83 rating in shooting for Mauro Icardi. After that, it drops off to a 78 pace rating for the 24-year-old.
