And now Inter can cross one more name off its contract renewal to-do-list. The Nerazzurri announced last week that Nicolo Barella has signed a new deal through June 2026. The Italian has been a monumental piece of Inter’s midfield ever since joining from Cagliari in 2019, with 103 appearances and 8 goals to his name. The 24-year-old hoisted both the Scudetto and European Championship as a starter last season and was recognized as the Serie A Midfielder of the Season.
Here’s the press release from Inter.
MILAN - FC Internazionale Milano is delighted to announce that Nicolo Barella has signed a contract extension with the club. The 24-year-old midfielder’s new deal will run until 30 June 2026.
Barella: “I’m delighted to have extended my contract so I can keep fighting for the Inter cause. All the best to Nerazzurri fans and Forza Inter!”

Listen up, folks! Nicolo Barella has a message for you

Inter will now look to tie-down Milan Skriniar, Stefan de Vrij, and of course Marcelo Brozovic to new deals. The latter is by far the most important, as his contract expires in just a few months and it would take a boatload of cash to find someone else with the Croatian’s quality.
Forza Nicolo!
