Inter intensify negotiations with Atalanta over Gosens - report

Inter Milan have reportedly ramped up negotiations with Atalanta over Robin Gosens. The winger apparently turned down a contract with Newcastle United that would have brought the player’s wages up.

Now that Gosens and Inter have agreed to personal terms, the left is between the clubs. The reports suggest the deal is for €2.5m per season a whole €1.0m less than what he would have made at Newcastle.

The report suggests that Inter would only be able to get Gosens on a loan with the buy as an option. There’s plenty left to be done in order for the deal to be complete, but I gotta say, it’s nice to see the newly well-funded Newcastle get rejected.
