The official word is here. Romelu Lukaku is officially an Inter Milan player again. After being sold only 12 short months ago, the Belgian returns to the San Siro after a tumultuous, to say the least, time back at Chelsea.

The deal is a one-year loan deal with Inter forking over €8 million in loan fees with performance add-ons as a possibility. Chelsea will keep paying the installments for Lukaku’s transfer fee that come yearly at around €23m with Inter sending a portion of the funds back for the loan.
Lukaku was a vital part of Inter’s 2020-21 Scudetto winning campaign and despite a strange exit and some salty supporters, he’s already being welcomed back with open arms by most.
The Inter fans give Lukaku a warm welcome back to Milano ⚫️
