A late goal by midfielder Nicoló Zaniolo helped the Inter Milan Under 19 Primavera squad earn a 1-1- draw with Chievo Verona on Sunday.
It marked the first game this season Stefano Vecchi’s side did not claim full points.
Vecchi’s side is preparing to take on Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Youth League on Wednesday at the Stadio Breda in Sesto San Giovanni. The game is set for a 2 p.m. local start (9 a.m. ET). The return leg will then be played in Ukraine on Oct. 18.
The Under 18 Berretti and the Under 14 Giovanissimi Regionali tallied 13 goals between them to claim wins.
The Berretti had five different goal-scorers in their 5-2 win over Feralpisaló during both teams’ season-opener.
Conversely, the Giovanissimi Regionali racked up four goals in each half — and by eight different players — to blow past Mantova, 8-0 during their season-opener.
In addition to the Primavera draw, the Under 16s earned a 1-1 draw with Venezia while the Under 17s dropped a 1-0 decision to Cagliari.
