We sure had to wait for it, but Inter has finally officially announced Marcelo Brozovic’s contract renewal with three months to spare before his old deal ran out.
MILAN - FC Internazionale Milano have announced that they have reached an agreement to extend Marcelo Brozovic’s contract. The 29-year-old midfielder will be an Inter player until 30 June 2026.
It feels like an official statement on Brozovic’s new contract has been in the rumor mill for months and considering the exodus of free agents from Serie A, I’d started to worry about the Croatian’s future in Milan. But luckily there’s no cause for concern. The 29-year-old (he’ll be 33 when this contract expires) has just about confirmed that he’ll spend the remainder of his career in Inter colors for €6.5 annually plus bonuses. And considering how Inter has played in recent weeks without Brozovic, that’s crucial news.
Brozovic has been one of Inter’s most important players ever since he took the regista role for his own, registering 279 all-time appearances for the Nerazzurri. Keeping hold of him is fantastic business and he’s sure to be the anchor of Inter’s midfield for the next several years.
Forza Inter!
