Ivan Perisic’s topsy-turvy Inter career is finally coming to an end. According to Fabrizio Romano, the 33-year-old is all set to trade Milano for London and join Antonio Conte at Tottenham Hotspur.

Perisic leaves behind a slightly complicated legacy at the San Siro, but a legacy nonetheless. By the time the dust settled, Perisic had 55 goals, 49 assists, and 3 trophies in 254 appearances spread across six seasons. His best form has come in the last two seasons, where he was a key starter in the run to the Scudetto in 20/21 and then a MVP front runner under Inzaghi.

All things consider, Perisic’s exit isn’t the end of the world. Luckily Inter already has a succession plan in place thanks fo the midseason arrival of Robin Gosens, who will slide right into the starting spot. It does mean Inter needs to find another backup, but one of Andrea Cambiaso or Destiny Udogie should do the job. The increased salary Perisic asked for can instead go to shoring up the rest of the roster’s holes and lighten the wage bill. As for Perisic, he gets one last big paycheck and can try out a Premier League adventure, but even more importantly, he won’t be heading to Juventus.

Thanks for the memories, Ivan!
