German international offered to Inter Milan
Arsenal midfielder and German international Mesuit Ozil has reportedly been offered to both Inter Milan and Juventus.
Reports suggest the London club wants to unload Ozil because of issues between he and manager Unai Emery as well as the need to get Ozil’s wages — around €300,000 per week — off the club’s books.
Arsenal is also looking to part ways with defender Aaron Ramsey, who has also been linked to Inter, but is most likely headed to Juventus.
Inter offered more to player, but were turned down
Inter Milan Sporting Director Piero Ausilio told Sky Sport Italia (as quoted by Football Italia) the club previously outbid Manchester City for Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus but were turned down.
Inter and Manchester City were bidding for the player in 2017 when he planned to leave Palmeiras.
The reason for the switch? Ausilio said Jesus wanted to play for Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola.
Luciano Spalletti issues praise for Andrea Ranocchia
After being relatively silent on social media for more than two months, Inter boss Luciano Spalletti took to Instagram to issue praise for Inter’s Andrea Ranocchia.
“He wonders what he can do for Inter and not what Inter can do for him,” Spalletti said.
It comes on the heels of a potential contract re-negotiation between Ranocchia and the club which would extend his stay with the club — his contract expires in the summer.
Gabigol still wants to return to Inter
Gabriel Barbosa’s agent Junior Pedroso told FCInter1908.it that his client still wants to return to Inter Milan.
Barbosa was recently loaned to Brazilian club Flamengo for the season, but he apparently wants to come back to Inter and get another shot at making the club after the loan deal is complete.
“Would he ever return to Inter? Certainly, his dream of playing for Inter remains alive,” Pedroso said.
Barbosa had just one goal in 10 appearances for Inter during the 2016-17 season.
